ALL TRAILS CLOSED
Last Updated April 8th, 2012
TRAIL REPORT:
With a few big storms behind us and more on the way the trails in Gorham have been flat and fast, groomers have been out on a regular basis and there are no real bad spots to mention. The steel bridge between Deering Rd and the Straw Rd substation has been repaired and that has allowed us to reconnect with Saco and Buxton. This makes for a great loop trail between Gorham, Buxton, Saco and Scarborough.
Thank you Landowners!
Land Owners in Maine have always had a tradition of allowing access for public recreation on private land. Gorham Land Owners are no exception! There is approximately 40 miles of trail system throughout Gorham, of which, a large percent is privately owned.
We realize this access to private land is a privilege, not a right. It is critical that snowmobilers respect the property that we are privileged to use. This means staying on marked trails, not littering, and keeping noise levels down when passing near residences.
The Gorham SnoGoers would like to take this time to express our thanks to you gracious Land Owners, who allow us to maintain and ride on your properties. Without your generosity, the Gorham snowmobile trail system could not exist!
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact us. Thank you!
